Where We Encounter Our Faithful God
Camp Encounter is a 6-week Day Camp (8:30am to 3pm / Mon – Fri) that serves as one of the primary summer outreach ministries of Clarkston International Bible Church.
Camp Encounter is a BLAST and our desire for you is to meet Jesus Christ. You don’t want to miss it!
As a camper at Camp Encounter, you will be in a group with your peers as you participate in art, science, sports, and academics. Most importantly, you will hear a Bible lesson taught every single day and have time to reflect in a small group. We will also dance, get wet, and eat meals together. You’re going to love it!

Serve at Camp Encounter
The vision of Camp Encounter is to make Jesus known to the next generation. At Camp Encounter, an average of 100 campers a day, from around the world are able to encounter our faithful God as they learn about the Gospel. Children from kindergarten through 8th grade also engage in art, music, academics, and sports in a safe and loving environment. If you love kids, camp ministry, the nations, and the Gospel, you will love Camp Encounter. There are three ways to serve at Camp Encounter:
Summer Missionaries: Summer missionaries have the opportunity to lead or assist with different age groups and/or the art, academic, music, or sports track. You will participate in home visits, community outreaches as you grow as missionary. You’ll interact with nearly 300 volunteers that come on mission trips to serve at camp. Volunteer Opportunities:
Summer missionaries have the opportunity to lead or assist with different age groups and/or the art, academic, music, or sports track. You will participate in home visits, community outreaches as you grow as missionary. You’ll interact with nearly 300 volunteers that come on mission trips to serve at camp. Each week, we need 35 volunteers to help facilitate camp. Teams serve in a variety of ways. They help with the academic, art & music, sports & health, and science tracts. They help lead groups of campers through each rotation. They serve on our kitchen, registration, and security teams. Teams typically arrive on Saturday evening and depart Friday evening. CIBC provides housing and most meals. If you are interested in learning more details and the cost, please complete the following interest form.
If you live close enough to Clarkston to volunteer at Camp Encounter, please let us know. We depend on everyone from high school students to retired individuals. We are flexible on the days and times that you serve, whether it is for one day, one week, or the whole summer. We do require a background check and ministry safe training.
